Arrival Day

On the first day, we will pick you up at the airport in Tromso. The fantastic route is perfect for letting your gaze wander and admiring the impressive mountains. Once you arrive at Oksfjordhjem, you will have enough time to settle in. In the evening, you can look forward to a prepared meal over an open fire.

With Sleddogs on Tour

The next morning after breakfast, we will head out with the sled dogs. Together, we’ll harness the sled dogs and show you what to look out for. Everyone can drive their own sled combination here. The narrow valley we’re riding through offers truly panoramic views, with mountains rising up on both sides. Finally, our trail takes us up to a plateau where we can look down into the valley we just rode through. During the tour, we will take a break, during which we will not only provide the dogs with snacks but also have time to drink tea.

Snowmobiletour with ice fishing

On the third day, we go out with the snowmobiles in the mountains for ice fishing. We go to one of the best ice fishing spots in this area. Whilst we wait for a big fish to take the bait, we can warm up every now and then by the stove in the heated tent. With a hot chocolate or tea, some warm soup and freshly baked bread, you can really enjoy ice fishing. After a successful day of ice fishing in the mountains, with a bit of luck we can cook the fish in the oven that evening.

The next day, you can have a lie-in, and after lunch we’ll put on our snowshoes and set off in search of the Northern Lights. We’ll find a tent where we can warm up by the campfire. Over a delicious dinner and a cup of hot tea, with a bit of luck we’ll be able to marvel at the Northern Lights.

On the fifth day of your trip, you’ll head to the Sami. There, you’ll get to ride on a traditional reindeer sleigh. you’ll ride two people per sleigh to a Lavu tent, where you’ll learn more about Sami culture.
After immersing yourselves deeply in Sami culture, you’ll head to the Igloo Hotel in Alta to explore the art of ice carving and admire the works of art in the form of sculpted rooms.

Sauna day and ice bath Ice

After a long day in Alta, you can slow down the next day, and after a late breakfast, the sauna is ready for several sessions. You’ll love the natural infusions prepared by our sauna masters. To top off the day, we offer an ice bath at the nearby lake for those who prefer to cool off before or after the sauna. A little surprise awaits everyone who dares to try it.

Snowemobiletour

On the last day before your departure, we’ll hop on the snowmobiles one last time and take another short day trip into the Norwegian mountains. The breathtaking view of the valley makes for a wonderful end to a week-long vacation before we head back to Tromsø by bus on the morning of departure.

Departure

The route along the fjords and mountain valleys is beautiful to behold and offers the perfect opportunity for some final photos. Once you arrive in Tromsø, you can grab lunch at one of the local restaurants or head straight to the airport.
