A farm, a valley, a dream
Our small husky farm in Norway has made a big dream come true for us—maybe even the dream. With just over 40 dogs, we’re probably one of the smallest husky farms in Norway.
We found our farm in the municipality of Nordreisa, in a small side valley. A like-new house, a second one to renovate, a solid little barn, and 19 hectares of space.

The enclosures
Every tree by hand
For our dogs, we fenced in just under 700 square meters of dog enclosures, plus a 500-square-meter free-run area. Most of the enclosures are made from wood from our own forest. We felled every single tree, stripped the bark, and built it in by hand.
That was a lot of work, but now it’s turned out exactly how we imagined it. It’s important to us that our dogs have shady spots in summer and can live among trees.
You can feel the calm, relaxed atmosphere when you sit by the campfire among the dogs and there’s no fuss.
The location
Where we are
The forest around us is mostly birch, ash, willow, and a few spruces. We’re on the way to the North Cape, not far from the E6, but far enough away that we don’t notice the traffic. And all around—how could it be any different up here—mountains. We still haven’t had enough of the view.
Reisa National Park is close by. Our training routes start right outside the door: in summer and autumn you can choose freely between 6 and 40 kilometers, and in winter the trails also start right by the farm.
