Cabin tour with one night in a Lavvu tent

Suitable for beginners to advanced riders. Experience is not required, but it is an advantage. What is absolutely necessary is physical fitness of all participants. Each guest should be able to master a full-day mountain hike well. All participants will have to help their dog team on passages in the mountains and walk behind the sled.

This tour is a Level 2 tour, which means, among other things, that we have another tent as backup in case it is not possible to reach the next cabin. This is a safety measure that gives our groups absolute security, and we are prepared for any situations and weather changes.

Detailed Program: 6 + 2 Days

On the day of arrival, we will pick you up from the airport in Tromso and drive together to Oksfjordhjem. There you will have time to arrive first. We will equip you with the winter equipment and give you the first briefing. At a subsequent dinner, we will discuss the further course of our joint adventure.

The next morning, we load the dogs and our equipment and finally get started. We drive to the Reisa National Park. We harness our dogs in front of the sleds and off we go into adventure. On the first day, we drive deeper and deeper into the national park and find our place at one of the unique cabins.

After our first night, we continue to Reisavannhytta where we spend our second night on our wilderness tour. There is absolute solitude here and we will meet few people, if any.

From there we go back into the National Park. We drive through the deep valley towards the northwest to our next destination. Further and further north our path leads us to a cabin, where we once again enjoy the comfort of a cabin before we climb the adjacent mountains with our huskies and come to the highlight of our adventure. A night in the Lavvu tent in the middle of the mountains. Equipped with a small stove, we set up the tent in a beautiful place and warm ourselves on reindeer skins by the stove. We all sleep and eat together in the tent.

The next day we drive back to the base camp with the dogs. Once there, we unharness the dogs and prepare a delicious dinner. By a warming fireplace or campfire, we enjoy the last evening together before we take you back to the airport the next morning.

The price applies per participant. The tours take place with two to five guests.
