The details of the tour
From May to November, even this far above the Arctic Circle, there is no snow, so the huskies cannot pull a sled. They love to run, and even without snow, they need exercise. So, a wheeled cart was invented, which they can pull even without snow. This cart has a comfortable seat for one person, while another person can drive it. You can enjoy the green forest and admire the teamwork of the huskies pulling the cart.
We drive through crystal-clear streams, past small waterfalls, through dense forest, and also through a small, elevated clearing from which you can see the valley surrounded by high mountains. Of course, we will cuddle the dogs when we return to the farm to praise and thank them for their exceptional work. Afterwards, we invite you for a coffee at the farm.
You can either be a passenger in the cart or drive it yourself. If you prefer to only be a passenger, our guides will drive the cart with 6-10 dogs, and you will ride comfortably in the seat. If you wish to drive the team, our guides will lead on an ATV, and you will follow with a team of 4-6 dogs (depending on whether there’s a passenger in your cart). You and your companion can swap halfway, allowing both to experience driving.
Duration: 2 hours – approx. from September 15 to November 15, 10 AM – 12 PM. This time includes tour preparations, the tour itself, harnessing and unharnessing the dogs after the tour, and refreshments. This time does not include the car journey to the husky farm and back to your accommodation. If the temperature is low enough, the tour can also be booked outside the specified dates. Please feel free to contact us, even if the specified time is not suitable for you.
Price: 1100 NOK per person (regardless of whether you drive the cart or ride as a passenger). The price includes the guided tour, snacks and coffee after the tour, and equipment. Transport is not included. The tour does not need to be paid in advance. Payment can be made on-site before the tour by credit card or bank transfer.
