Detailed program 10 + 2 days

On the day of arrival, we will pick you up at Tromso Airport and drive together to Oksfjordhjem. Once there, we will first equip you with suitable winter clothing and introduce you to the dogs we will be touring with. During dinner, we will discuss further details.

The next morning, after breakfast, we will all pack our equipment into the sleds and harness the dogs. Off we go into the adventure! We face our first ascent right at the start; the 600 vertical meters will make everyone, human and dog, sweat. After climbing the mountains, we will stay up there for a while and look for a suitable place to set up our camp. Once settled, we will collectively care for the dogs and prepare something delicious to eat.

We continue south through the beautiful mountains of Northern Norway until we set up our second camp.

From here, we drive to Finnmarksvidda, where we will also spend our third night in a tent.

On the fourth day, we descend back to the tree line and spend our third night of the tour in a cabin. There, we can warm up by the stove again and dry our gear.

A rest day for the dogs also benefits some participants, and most will fully enjoy the day by the stove, reading a book or massaging their own dog team.

Well-rested, we set off again after the recovery day. Another night in a tent on the Finnish border awaits us.

From the mountains, we descend back to the tree line, where a cozy log cabin awaits. From there, we continue downhill to the next cabin.

Once again well-warmed and strengthened, we drive back into the mountains and spend our last night of the tour in the mountains under the stars.

On the last day, we return to Base Camp Oksfjordhjem, where we will store the equipment together. Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious dinner.

After a final farewell to the dogs, we will take you back to the airport after breakfast.
